There seems to be an awful lot of by's, was it not possible to shrink the group down and make it more competitive/challenging?

how could u make it more challenging? it all depends who you get drawn against whether it will be a difficult match

nae sure if thats tongue in cheek or not or if its the way that league republic sets things out, but 157 entries i think there was to get down to 128 for the 1st round proper need 29 pre lims and effectively 99 folk get a bye.

if look at the grid on league republic the winner of each pre lim goes on to place the one next to them - ie scroll down to bottom Graeme Cusine will play John Lamond, Mike Kelly will play Clive Marsh and so on, in first round.

Number of bye's is hardly something you can control - all depends on entries. The number of bye's has enabled the next round to be a clean 128 so the tournament can function properly!
Not sure what you mean by more challenging?!

Seems normal setup to me, I think Al needs to get league republic to show the next round that is all and you will see the ties in the last 128.

You boys play the pool and leave the running of things to those who know best ;-)

Simple really, if it only showed the prelims and then the first round proper nobody would have been none the wiser

Jac, How would you have done it ?

I hadn't appreciated the number of entries but can see it cleaner to get to the 128, my bad!

Hi All, will get the last 128 active soon, however, just to explain, reason its not live is because I spotted a problem with venues of players and so need to go through fixtures to make sure that I am not sending a player to an incorrect venue. Would rather spend a little longer on it, rather than rush it and make a mistake. Will also add contact list for competition entrants later on. Still got a good few draws to do yet, so just keep and eye on here or facebook and once all done will let you know. Martin explanation for number of bye's is 100% correct, although think thats been figured out now.

Once contact list is up, can ALL players/captains have a look and let me know of any change of number via private mail or leagueresults@gmail.com.
