There will be a series of 4 events plus a Finals day held between Rileys and Sh88ters. These events will be played to Blackball and World Rules .

The entry fee will be ?7 with ?5 going to the prize fund and ?2 carrying over to the Finals Day. This 4 events will be ranked and the top 16 players based on best 3 results from 4 will make the Finals Day .

Payout for qualifying events

Winner 50%
Runner Up 25%
Semis 12.5%

They will be double elimination events Best of 7 on winners side and best of 5 on losers side all the way through.

Finals day will be 4 groups of 4 with the top 2 going into 1/4 finals. All ?2 from 4 qualifying events will be carried through to the Finals day and the top 16 will pay an additional ?10 on the day. Again payouts will be

Winner 50%

Semis 12.5%

There is no Age or Gender restriction.

Event 2 - Saturday 3rd November - Rileys - BB

Event 3 - Saturday 8th December - Rileys - WR

Event 4 - Saturday 12th January - Rileys - BB

Event 5 - Saturday 23rd February - Rileys - BB & WR (Top 16)


Additional sponsorship from venues has been agreed at ?1 per player, everything taken in will be paid out

Attached is a list of players not eligible to play in these events. There may be one or two who are not on the list that should be, if this is the case they will be added when they try to enter

As previously discussed this event will be a double elimination, Best of 7 winners side and best of 5 Losers side. Ranking points will be allocated as follows
1st - 20 pts
2nd - 14 pts
3rd - 12 pts
4th - 10 pts
5th = 8 pts
5th = 8 pts
7th = 6 pts
7th = 6 pts
9th = 4 pts
9th = 4 pts
9th = 4 pts
9th = 4 pts
13th = 2 pts
13th = 2 pts
13th = 2 pts
13th = 2 pts

The final event will be for the top 16 players based on points gained from their best 3 events.

I think a good day was had by all. Even Martin Campbell was in the money ;-)

Unfortunatley due to circumstances outwith my control event 2 has had to be put back. Therefore the next event will be event 3 and will be held at Rileys. I will start taking names nearer the time.
New dates are as below and missing ones will be confirmed as soon as known.

1/9/12 - Event 1 - Shooters
29/9/12 - Event 2 - Postponed
03/11/12 Event 3 - Rileys
08/12/12 Event 4 - Shooters
TBC - Event 2 - Rileys
TBC - Event 5 - Finals Shooters (Top 16)

Anyone not on the previously attached list can join as this is a competition trying to encourage players who would not generally enter a singles event in Aberdeen due to the exceptional high quality of our top players to do so, just put your name down when its advertised on here in a few weeks.

New dates for the above are as follows.

ALL DATES NOW CONFIRMED

Event 2 - Saturday 3rd November - Rileys - BB

Event 3 - Saturday 8th December - Rileys - WR

Event 4 - Saturday 12th January - Rileys - BB

Event 5 - Saturday 23rd February - Rileys - BB & WR (Top 16)

The format for the event will be the same as the first event as it went down really well.

Entry Fee is ?10 split up as follows.

?7 entry (?5 prize fund and ?2 Finals Day)
?2 Gold Cup Card (?40 Winner and ?40 added to Prize Fund)
?1 Football Card (Bottle of Spirits to winner and ?20 to Prize Fund)
Venue will also add ?1 per player to the prize fund
