Aberdeen and District Pool League is affiliated to the Scottish Pool Association (SPA)
. We would actively encourage players to take part in the wide variety of competitions they provide for all ages and abilities. In order to encourage the use of one set of rules in Scotland, the SPA insists that players who take part in their events only play Blackball rules in competition. If you are unsure how this may affect you please contact the Aberdeen SPA Rep.
The results of League and Cup team matches and any qualifiers for Finals Days must be texted (on 07776337137) or emailed (firstname.lastname@example.org
) to Allan Irvine (Match Secretary) by the winning team captain or player by the end of the following day. Failure to do so will render the result void. If the league match is a draw then both captains are expected to send the result in.
Any qualifying matches for finals day may be played early by mutual consent and only in exceptional circumstances beyond the deadline date for that round. Failure to do so will render the result void. League or Cup games may only be rearranged with the consent of the Match Secretary. Failure to do so will render the result void. League Match Sheets to be retained by captains and Player of the Year (POTY) sheets to be submitted to the League Secretary preferably by email in electronic format at the end of the season.
POTY Sheets are to be filled out by each team after every league match. Each player gets a 1, 2 or blank depending on how many frames they win. POTY sheets to be handed in within 7 days of completion of last league fixture. Failure to hand in POTY sheets at the end of the season will mean the Committee cannot evidence that a minimum of 10 league frames have been played by any of that teamís players and no prize money will be awarded to those players for events played in as per League Rule 25.
