Archives: 2006 Summer League
Posted on Thursday, April 27 2006 @ 23:02:47 BSTby adpladmin
ADPL News furrybeast writes The 2006 Summer League matches will commence on Tuesday 20th June. The league will last for 8 weeks in total with an additional interleague finals day to determine the overall winners of each ?division?

The format for the matches has been selected to encourage teams with a smaller pool of players to enter; the minimum number of players required to complete a match is only 5, yet still cater for larger squads. Very large squads are actively encouraged to enter 2 teams.

It is also hoped that the matches may be tighter due to the ?disadvantaged? team being able to see their opponents? team selection before choosing their own. Initially, the away team has the advantage but as the match progresses, the team who are behind gets this advantage. This information will be on the Match sheet...

The cost to enter has been kept relatively low and therefore the prize fund will be geared towards those entrants to whom trophies are held in higher esteem than cash.

Captains should fill out a blank sheet with:

The name of their team (e.g Broadsword B)

The names of all players in their team. (Transfers are not permitted)

Their own personal contact telephone number (entries will be rejected without this) and email address if they wish the fixture list and match sheet template to be emailed to them.

?20 entry fee (preferably a cheque made payable to Broadsword pool Team)

The above should be handed into the Broadsword bar in a sealed envelope on or before 6th June. Fixture lists for individual teams and a match sheet will be ready to collect any time after 14th June, again, from the Broadsword if not previously emailed.

Please contact George Henderson on 07810 547570 or 01224 276169 if you have any queries.
